Lane-Based Self-Service Screening Fact Sheet

Body

The S&T Screening at Speed Program, along with the TSA Innovation Task Force, is developing a lane-based self-service screening system for PreCheck® travelers to increase autonomy, reduce pat downs and bag inspections, and give Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) more time to assist other passengers. While lane-based self-service screening may at first look like a normal system, its video prompts and option to self-resolve alarms with minimal intervention from TSOs is a whole new experience.
