Retention Memo to ICE and USCIS Concerning Credible Fear Process at the Torrance County Detention Center in Estancia, New Mexico

CRCL received complaints alleging that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services failed to provide confidential settings for credible fear interviews and did not provide credible fear decision documents to noncitizens at the Torrance County Detention Facility in Estancia, New Mexico. The complaints further alleged that ICE failed to notify noncitizens in advance of their scheduled immigration judge reviews and the subsequent immigration judge.
