DHS 10th Anniversary
In 2003, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security began its operations, unifying 22 legacy agencies within a single department with a common mission: to safeguard America and integrate our Nation’s capabilities to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from threats and disasters of all kinds.
America is safer and stronger today than ever before. And DHS stands ready to confront our future challenges.
During the month of March, and throughout 2013, we will recognize and celebrate the work of DHS employees from across the country and around the world through a number of initiatives, as we re-commit and move forward to the future of the Department. We invite you to learn more about DHS and our mission, and share with us in this celebration of our ten year anniversary
