As part of the dot gov reform effort, federal agencies have been asked for their domains that do not comply with the 2004 OMB policy regarding use of approved domains.

OMB requires agencies to list sites we manage outside the .gov or .mil domains (.com, .org, .edu, etc.) and explain why those sites aren't managed as .gov domains, per OMB policy. To date we identified 76 public-facing sites, which appear below.

DHS will report on plans to bring these sites into compliance with federal policy. This will be done in the 2011 Customer Service plan the Department submits under the Executive Order on Customer Service. To see a list of DHS websites on .gov domains, visit the DHS Website Directory page.
