To support the nationwide launch of the "If You See Something, Say Something™" public awareness campaign, Secretary Janet Napolitano released a new series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) encouraging the public to contact local authorities if they see suspicious activity.
A 30-second Public Service Announcement taking place at the local shopping mall.
Woman, thinking to herself
Location: Shopping mall (can hear light chatter in background)
The mall sure is busy today. OK, what’s on my list? … birthday present for Beth, stop at the electronics store, and then, grab a quick bite.
Hmm…did that guy leave his shopping bag? Looks like there’s a package inside covered in duct tape? Did he leave it on purpose? That can’t be right. Excuse me, Security… I just noticed… (voice fades out)
Narrator:
We all play a role in keeping our community safe. If you see something suspicious, say something to local authorities.

A 30-second Public Service Announcement taking place at a sporting event.
Man, thinking to himself
Location: Baseball game (can hear announcer slightly in the background, occasional applause/noise from audience, a crack of the bat hitting the ball)
Man…what a perfect day for a ball game. I’m starving, where’s that hot dog stand?
Hey! What’s that guy doing under the bleachers? Looks like he left a bag. Did he forget it?
I’m just being paranoid. I don’t want to scare the kids, but this just doesn’t seem right.
Excuse me officer… Someone just left a bag under… (voice fades out)
