November 30, 2007 -- With winter rapidly approaching, every family should be prepared to face another season of destructive cold, storms and flooding. Every home should have a Disaster Supply Kit that includes a weather radio. November 26, 2007 - U.S. Customs and Border Protection is responsible for protecting our nation's borders in order to prevent terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States, while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
As the unified border agency within the Department, the agency includes more than 40,000 employees, including Border Patrol and CBP Officers to manage, control and protect the nation's borders, at and between the official ports of entry. More at CBP.gov
November 16, 2007 - Ninety illegal migrants have been prosecuted and 1,368 migrants have had biometric data collected by the Coast Guard and US-VISIT in the waters between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic in the last 12 months. The program is credited with reducing the flow of illegal migration on this route by nearly 50 percent.
