Securing America Against the Threat of Cyber Attack
Earlier today, I addressed a live web audience to talk about our nation’s shared responsibility for our cybersecurity. President Obama has been speaking regularly on this important issue, and has described the growing number of attacks on our networks as “one of the most serious economic and national security threats our nation faces.”
My remarks today were a chance to speak clearly and candidly about what cybersecurity really means for our nation, and to expand on the shared responsibility we all have for online security. You can view the remarks below.

GOOD MORNING;
IN THE LAST THREE OR FOUR YEARS, THERE HAS BEEN MUCH TO SAY ABOUT CYBER SECURITY. I WAS READING A DOWNLOAD DOCUMENT, FROM US-CERT AND THERE WAS MENTION OF THE WEB BROWSER 'OPERA'. AS WELL, A RETIRED NAVY VETERAN, HAD RELAYED A BIT OF DATA CONCERNING-'McAFEE', AS AN ANTI-VIRUS APPLICATION. IF WE LIKEN THIS RESEARCH TO A 'CONSUMER REPORT' ENTRY, HOW DO THESE APPLICATIONS STACK UP IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL REALM? WITH EMPHASIS BEING PLACED ON ADVANCED APPLICATIONS AND THE EMERGENCE OF OTHER HIGH TECH PROFILES, WILL THEY CONTINUE TO 'HOLD THERE OWN'? WITH THE THOUGHT OF 'REAL TIME UPDATES', HOW DO THESE APPLICATIONS COMPARE TO A F-SECURE PROGRAM?

This is certainly a big problem and, of course, will become an increasingly bigger problem as more and more people are online, especially for those using social networking websites. Hopefully this administration can come up with effective security measures to counter cyber attacks.
