LIVE on dhs.gov

So here's a first...

Tune in tomorrow to dhs.gov at 11:00 AM EDT for an exclusive live address from Secretary Napolitano on cybersecurity. We will broadcast her remarks at dhs.gov, and you can submit a question for the Secretary to answer during her address.

The Secretary will talk about our shared responsibility for staying safe online, and the department's leadership role in cybersecurity.

Check it out tomorrow at 11:00 AM EDT.

    Given how critical the security of information is to national security, why do we permit producers of computer software to distribute software that has so many flaws and unreliable. We would not permit any other manufacturers to do this. This is a crictical component to our national security.

    I agree with the poster above regarding producers of computer software. There are so many flaws and holes in most computer software (including operating systems) that it just encourages people to take advantage of them. Imagine a car manufacturer selling a car that only crashed once a week. And don’t get me started on virus protection software and the amount of money they make from viruses that are written by "bad guys"...
