While in Berlin, Deputy Secretary Mayorkas participated in a Security Cooperation Group Plenary, where he reiterated the strong partnership with German counterparts and underscored our common interest in counterterrorism, law enforcement, and homeland security matters. Through the Security Cooperation Group, the Department of Homeland Security and the German Federal Interior Ministry continue to enhance bilateral cooperation on issues including aviation security, cybersecurity, countering violent extremism and transnational crime.
