Sworn In as US Citizens in Historic Mesa Country

At Bandelier National Monument, 15 immigrants were sworn in as new U.S. citizens on Independence Day. At the far left is USCIS Albuquerque Field Office Director Patti Reynolds; at far right is National Park Service Chief Ranger Tom Betts. The ceremony concluded with a celebratory ceremonial dance performed by Native American dancers. Bandelier National Monument protects over 33,000 acres of rugged, beautiful canyon and mesa country as well as evidence of human presence going back more than 11,000 years.
