The Broadband Outreach Toolkit has been created as an educational resource for the Office of Emergency Communication’s (OEC) stakeholders interested in learning more about the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN). Since the signing of The Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, there have been many questions regarding the planned Nationwide Network and how it will directly affect all jurisdictions and disciplines of the public safety community.
To address some of these questions, a working group comprised of Federal, State and local stakeholders was stood up in spring 2012. This group has invested significant effort into developing and identifying materials to provide a more comprehensive explanation of the Nationwide Network and its impact. The toolkit includes FAQs, fact sheets and other informational products developed through close collaboration with OEC’s stakeholders and Federal partners.
If you have suggestions for items to be included in the toolkit, please contact the Office of Emergency Communications at OEC@dhs.gov.
