Student Career Experience Program
Description
The Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) is a government-wide mechanism for current students to secure paid internships. Many Department of Homeland Security components hire students through the SCEP, which provides work experience that directly relates to the student's academic program and career goals.
Students may be converted into permanent positions upon completing the SCEP academic and work experience requirements, though a permanent position is not guaranteed and is contingent upon agency hiring needs.
