Federal Career Intern Program
Overview
The Federal Career Intern Program is designed to help agencies recruit and attract exceptional individuals for a variety of roles. Created under Executive Order 13162, it is intended for positions at grade levels GS-5, 7, and 9. Individuals are generally appointed to a 2-year paid internship, in either full- or part-time positions. Upon successful completion of an internship, interns may be eligible for permanent placement.
