Homeland Security Advisory Council Home Page

The Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary on matters related to homeland security. The Council is comprised of leaders from state and local government, first responder communities, the private sector, and academia.

Secretary Announces New HSAC Members, Creates Southwest Border Task Force

On Friday, June 5, 2009, Secretary Napolitano announced the new appointees to her Homeland Security Advisory Council. In addition, she has created two new task forces: the Southwest Border Task Force and the Sustainability and Efficiency Task Force. See the video of the June 5, 2009 meeting.
