DHS Awards Contracts for IT Services

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced today 28 contract awards under the small business track for information technology (IT) services as the second phase of the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) program prime contract procurement.  This announcement follows the June 29 award of 25 contracts for the unrestricted track phase.  The following small business companies have been awarded EAGLE contracts:

"Historically, Small Business has functioned as the backbone of IT services for the 22 DHS Components. The EAGLE Small Business awards positions the Department for alignment along mission lines with the highest quality information technology services,” said Charles Armstrong, DHS Deputy Chief Information Officer. "It will further allow DHS to deploy and operate nimble and cost effective solutions to meet evolving and expanding mission demands.”

“The EAGLE Program represents a significant opportunity for the small business community to participate in DHS programs that are critical to protecting our Homeland,” stated Kevin Boshears, DHS Director of the Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization.  “We are very excited about the capabilities that the companies selected can offer DHS across the spectrum of information technology services.”

EAGLE will serve as a department-wide platform for acquiring IT services in the following five functional categories:

  • Infrastructure engineering design, development, implementation, and integration;
  • Operations and maintenance;
  • Independent test, validation, verification;
  • Software Design; and
  • Management Support Services.

The addition of the 28 contracts awarded to the small businesses listed above brings the total number of EAGLE prime contractors to 53 diversified across the five functional categories. Specific DHS requirements will be competed among eligible prime contractors within the primary functional category designated in individual task orders.
