Tracy Henke has announced her resignation as Assistant Secretary for the Preparedness Directorate’s Office of Grants and Training, effective October 31, 2006. She has worked diligently to distribute critical resources to raise our nation’s overall preparedness level and to support first responders with valuable training and technical assistance.

Tracy has served our nation with tremendous dedication, at the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice and on the Hill, over the past 14 years. I appreciate her efforts to further the department’s all-hazards mission and many contributions to the safety and security of our homeland. I wish Tracy well in her new endeavors in the private sector.
