I am pleased to announce that Jocelyne Gray has started as White House Liaison at the Department of Homeland Security. Jocelyne brings considerable talents and valuable experience from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the White House to my senior leadership team. She also posses unique perspective and knowledge, having contributed to the department's creation while at the White House Office of Homeland Security, as well as its start-up by working in the Chief of Staff's Office and in public affairs.

Jocelyne most recently led the public outreach division in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and contributed significantly from the beginning to the agency's development. She has served as Associate Director of Public Liaison for the Homeland Security Council at the White House, and in the office of the administrator at the U.S. General Services Administration. Prior to her federal service, Jocelyne was a member of former Ohio governor Bob Taft's staff.  She is a native of Ohio and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State University.

I am grateful for Jocelyne's return to the department and her ongoing service to the homeland. I will rely upon her for attracting and retaining talented non-career personnel, and I will count on her counsel as we continue to build a stronger and more integrated department.
