DHS Implementation Plan and Annual Reports for the U.S. Strategy on Women, Peace, and Security

Body

The Women, Peace, and Security Act of 2017 recognizes the benefits derived from creating opportunities for women and girls to serve as agents of peace via political, economic, and social empowerment. In June of 2019, the White House published United States Strategy on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) to promote the meaningful inclusion of women in processes to prevent, mitigate, resolve, and recover from deadly conflict or disaster. As a partner agency in this effort, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released an initial Implementation Plan in support of the Act and WPS Strategy, and subsequent annual reports that outline progress of the Implementation Plan.
