GSA Listings of Rad/Nuc Detection and Identification Equipment

The Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office was established in December 2017 by consolidating primarily the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, a majority of the Office of Health Affairs, as well as other DHS elements.

For current information related to CWMD, please visit the following:

The equipment listed on the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 84, "Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire, Rescue, Clothing, Marine Craft and Emergency/Disaster Response," Special Item Number (SIN) 426 4R, "Radiation/Nuclear Material Detection Equipment," is not endorsed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), or GSA, based on this GSA listing. Items listed may not have been independently tested to determine compliance with applicable and DHS accepted consensus standards.

DHS makes no qualitative recommendations as to any listed instrument’s effectiveness, suitability or safety without demonstration of such qualities through an independent test and conformity assessment effort such as that prescribed by the Graduated Rad/Nuc Detector Evaluation and Reporting (GRaDERSM) Program. The purpose of bringing this GSA listing to your attention is to provide information that may be used to establish reasonable product and service cost information when surveying the product market and for negotiating purchases. GSA Schedule 84, "Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire, Rescue, Clothing, Marine Craft and Emergency/Disaster Response," Special Item Number (SIN) 426 4R, "Radiation/Nuclear Material Detection Equipment," may be found here.

Tested products that have been evaluated by DNDO under the GRaDERSM program will be listed in the GRaDER Evaluated Equipment List (GEEL) and evaluation results posted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Responder Knowledge Base (RKB).
