U.S. Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Jane Holl Lute will travel to Buffalo, N.Y., and Ottawa, Canada, on April 15-16 to tour Northern border operations, talk with state and local law enforcement and hold conversations with Canadian officials. Deputy Secretary Lute will be accompanied by Under Secretary-designate for the National Protection and Programs Directorate Rand Beers.
On Wednesday, Deputy Secretary Lute will visit the Buffalo Port of Entry, tour the Peace Bridge and meet with local officials. She will then travel to Ottawa to meet with Canadian government officials on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday.
