WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, January 11, the Department of Homeland Security Blue Campaign will launch a new public service announcement, “Take a Second Look” at an event commemorating the vital community partnership with the D.C. Mayor’s Office. Blue Campaign Acting Chair Jeff Rezmovic and D.C. Mayor’s Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants Director Michelle Garcia will provide remarks in recognition of National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
This launch renews the partnership established one year ago during the 2016 National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and led to the training of all D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles personnel on recognizing the indicators of human trafficking they might encounter in serving an estimated 3,200 members of the D.C. community daily.
