At the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), we continuously strive to engage in meaningful communications with industry. In that spirit, members of our procurement community are pleased to join Representative Bennie G. Thompson, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, in a small business forum during the 48th Annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference. The conference will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center at 801 Mt. Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC 20001.
On September 13, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Chief Procurement Officer Soraya Correa will join Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Director Kevin Boshears and other members of the DHS procurement community for a panel discussion focused on doing business with DHS. Panelists will discuss with attendees how they can identify and compete for DHS business opportunities. Attendees will also learn about DHS’s business initiatives including our Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Small Business programs.
About DHS’s participation, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Director Kevin Boshears says, “We always seek to connect with new and innovative business partners and this event will give us an excellent opportunity to share our message with business leaders who are expected to attend the legislative conference. We are honored that Representative Thompson invited us to participate.”
