The Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (Ombudsman) invites the public to participate in a webinar to discuss USCIS’ Processing of Concurrently Pending Forms N-400 and Forms I-751 on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT.
During this session, Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman Michael Dougherty and his staff will explain the circumstances under which Forms N-400 (Application for Naturalization) and I-751 (Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence) may be pending concurrently, clarify USCIS’ current processes when handling and adjudicating these concurrently pending forms, and allow stakeholders to share their experiences with the concurrently pending forms. USCIS subject matter experts will join the Ombudsman’s staff to relay information and answer questions where appropriate.
The Ombudsman’s webinar will serve as an information sharing and gathering session. Listeners will be able to submit questions and comments electronically during the webinar. Where practical, the Ombudsman will share submitted questions (without attribution) with USCIS for awareness and, if appropriate, for addressing in its outreach materials.
For more information about our office, view the Ombudsman’s Annual Report to Congress, issued in June 2020, or visit the Ombudsman’s website.
We look forward to hearing from you on these issues and invite the public to register for this important webinar using this link.
