The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate’s (S&T) innovative whole-of-government research partnerships are securing our future now, ensuring no community is left behind. We’re making science more agile and delivering solutions to prepare the country for the next pandemic, secure public transit, and tackle the climate crisis. To compete globally, manage risk to drive efficiencies and decision-making, and solve national-scale problems, we must collaborate with public and private sector innovators to accelerate technology development and cutting-edge research for homeland security mission operations.
That’s why S&T has applied to present at South by Southwest 2022 (SXSW 2022)—we want to give innovators an understanding of R&D priorities, what business and collaboration opportunities exist, and outline how public-private partnerships can help S&T and DHS Components accelerate solutions. But we need your help to get there!
The SXSW conference agenda is setup through a process called PanelPicker, which allows the public to weigh in on which topics should make the final program. DHS is competing with several thousand applicants from the public and private sectors – with your help, we’ll be able to attend SXSW and engage with key potential partners who can help us make airport passenger screening faster, safer, and more effective.
