The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) is coming to IWCE and wants to hear from you on how wireless technologies can revolutionize response efforts and serve as anchors for innovation and resiliency across the country.


In addition to S&T Deputy Under Secretary Dr. Robert Griffin’s keynote remarks on March 18, the S&T First Responders Group is hosting a town hall conversation on Mar. 17th at 3 p.m in room N246., to discuss efforts to integrate research and development (R&D) planning with technology innovators and entrepreneurs working on advanced solutions. These efforts will also be discussed in a number of S&T panel discussions at IWCE, and in our booth 2044 We look forward to meeting with you and discussing how technologies can enhance capabilities for countering natural and manmade disasters. S&T will also be demonstrating a new technology to integrate radio frequency (RF) system base stations, consoles and other RF equipment – regardless of brand – over the Internet or private Internet Protocol (IP) network. These demonstrations will be held in room MR-6 throughout the day on March 18 & 19.


S&T aims to work closely with wireless communications professionals and other groups that understand the speed of innovation in this digital age and how this connects to commerce, resiliency, and security. S&T recognizes the wireless community as a leader in innovation and is looking for your insights on what you expect from S&T in preparing for the future -- a future where wireless communications will include technologies such as wearable tech and the Internet-of-Things will serve as anchors for delivering innovative solutions across the country.
