Natural and man-made disasters are changing the security landscape across the globe, requiring new technologies that can strengthen resilience. On March 29, the DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) will join thought-leaders from around the world at the inaugural Global Resilience Research Network Summit to discuss cross-cutting solutions for emerging resilience challenges.
Andre Hentz, S&T Deputy Under Secretary (Acting) and Dr. Melissa Forbes, FEMA Deputy Assistant Administrator (Acting) for the Office of Policy, Program Analysis and International Affairs, will host an informal discussion from 4:30 to 5 p.m. ET about DHS’s investment in solutions and partnerships to enhance resilience capabilities for the entire Homeland Security Enterprise. Stephen Flynn, Director of the Global Resilience Institute, will moderate the conversation.
Follow S&T on Twitter and Periscope to watch the discussion live, and stay involved in the ongoing resilience conversation with us on Facebook and LinkedIn.
S&T’s participation in the Global Resilience Research Network Summit is part of our global stakeholder community effort to bring together innovative thinkers and homeland security end-users. By identifying cutting-edge technologies and engaging with thought leaders, we can help develop and deploy force-multiplying solutions that can improve community resilience and safety.
