Under Secretary for Science and Technology Dr. Reginald Brothers wants the entrepreneurial community to think differently about doing business with S&T. During his key note address, Dr. Brothers will provide an overview of S&T's Visionary Goals, strategic plan and how small businesses can better engage S&T throughout the research and development process. Through industry relationships, S&T wants to spur innovative solutions for homeland security enterprise operators and to collaborate with non-traditional voices to expand the marketplace.
As members of the Homeland Security Enterprise look for innovative ways to deal with current and future threats, Dr. Brothers wants to share his vision of how S&T can help. As the R&D arm of the Department of Homeland Security, S&T is showing how thinking outside of the box in terms of collaboration can be beneficial.
Other S&T presenters will discuss S&T's Small Business Innovation Research program as well as a new business accelerator S&T is sponsoring.
