Countering Violent Extremism Fact Sheet

The Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) conducts evidence-based research to improve the effectiveness of public safety and violence prevention efforts implemented by government agencies and non-governmental organizations. This research enables policy makers and operational decision-makers to make informed choices that reroute vulnerable individuals from potential violence, thwart potential offenders, mitigate vulnerabilities, save lives, and enhance community resilience.
