DHS S&T & TSA Homeland Security Industry Day

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) is collaborating with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to host this Homeland Security Industry Day.

DHS S&T and TSA will ​bring ​together ​technology ​startups, ​investors, government officials ​and ​stakeholders ​to ​learn about the challenges confronting the nation’s transportation security and how your tech company could help develop solutions for this critical group. TSA and DHS S&T leadership will present on their respective Directorate’s current operational needs and will discuss how industry can address the most pressing challenges facing the homeland security mission.

Also presenting will be Melissa Ho, Managing Director of S&T's Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP). Through SVIP, DHS S&T reaches out to the startup and small business communities to find new solutions to counter emerging threats. In partnership with TSA, SVIP engages early stage startups and provides opportunities for operational testing and market access.

Other covered topics include Intellectual Property & SVIP, the new solicitation Object Recognition and Adaptive Algorithms in Passenger Property Screening, and details on what your company should consider when applying.
