Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has remained an authoritative source for information on COVID-19 information, including guidance about what to do if you are sick and ways you can help slow the spread of COVID-19. Please review CDC’s list of 8 Things to Know about the U.S. COVID-19 Vaccination Program.
Vaccines offer an additional level of protection against COVID-19; however, no vaccine is 100 percent effective without additional preventive measures. In addition to getting vaccinated, you can help slow the spread of COVID-19 by:
- Covering your mouth and nose with a mask when around others;
- Staying at least 6 feet apart in public and avoiding crowds; and
- Cleaning your hands often with soap and water or using hand sanitizer.
The CDC will continue to update their COVID-19 website as vaccine recommendations and supplies change.
