Please join the Department of Homeland Security, partners from the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Student Veterans of America (SVA), and various colleges and universities for our Virtual Veteran Career and Education Symposium scheduled for Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Department of Homeland Security, in conjunction with the Veterans Benefits Administration and other sponsors, is proud to offer this event to Transitioning Service members and Veterans. Join us to learn more about education benefits and employment opportunities with the federal government.

The Career and Education Symposium will present information on how to use your benefits to help boost your career and enhance your education.

Symposium Highlights Include:

  • Information on how and when to use your veteran’s education benefits
  • Advice on enhancing your career through education
  • How to obtain federal employment through the Student Pathways Program
  • Information on Veterans Preference and the Federal Hiring Process
