The Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), Standards (STN), part of the Systems Engineering and Standards Division (SES), works closely with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) components, homeland security partners and other end users (particularly first responders) to identify and develop relevant standards to address DHS mission needs and promote the use and implementation of such standards in DHS programs.
MSC enhances maritime domain awareness and develops strategies to support marine transportation system resilience and educational programs for current and aspiring homeland security practitioners.
FPDI defends the safety and security of the food system by conducting research to protect against vulnerabilities in the food supply chain, from farm to table, and to reduce the potential catastrophic attacks on public health and the economy.
