DHS/CISA/PIA-037 CyberSentry

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has developed the voluntary CyberSentry program to enhance the cyber resilience of organizations that own or operate critical infrastructure. CyberSentry uses sensors to monitor the Information Technology and Operational Technology networks of a participating Critical Infrastructure (CI) partner for cybersecurity threats. CISA is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) because CyberSentry’s network monitoring capabilities may create the potential for disclosure of personally identifiable information (PII).

DHS/ICE/PIA-059 Information Technology Service Management - ServiceNow

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) operates the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) - ServiceNow enterprise solution (ServiceNow). To better support its mission of streamlining the management of time-sensitive service requests, OCIO implemented a software as a service (SaaS) cloud-based tool that can be customized based on the needs of ICE program offices to provide support to ICE personnel (i.e., employees, contractors) and non-ICE personnel who have access to ICE systems for official business. ICE is publishing this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to provide a thorough analysis of the privacy risks associated with ServiceNow’s collection, use, and maintenance of personally identifiable information (PII).

DHS/USCIS/PIA-085 Pangaea: Pangaea Text

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) uses Pangaea, a suite of customized data-driven applications that provide actionable intelligence for USCIS to make informed operational decisions. The first application that USCIS plans to use is Pangaea Text, a secure web-based system, to assist in safeguarding the integrity of the asylum program by identifying fraud, national security, and public safety concerns. USCIS is issuing this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to discuss the risks and mitigations associated with the use of Pangaea Text.

DHS/CISA/PIA-036 Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards Program Suspicious Activity Reports

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Infrastructure Security Division (ISD) Chemical Security Subdivision, hereafter referred to as Chemical Security, receives notification of security incidents at high-risk chemical facilities. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) describes the incident and suspicious activity reporting actions previously performed by CISA’s legacy National Infrastructure Coordinating Center (NICC) and now performed by Chemical Security.

DHS/CBP/PIA-067 U.S. Customs and Border Protection Unified Secondary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) is responsible for processing individuals entering the United States at Ports of Entry. To facilitate individual processing, CBP is expanding the use of the Unified Secondary System (USEC) to receive specified biographic and biometric information in advance from certain undocumented individuals who may seek to apply for admission at a U.S. port of entry. On behalf of these undocumented individuals, International Organizations (IO) or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) submit specified biographic and biometric information to CBP via the CBP One™ Mobile Application. Upon arrival at the port of entry and referral to secondary, CBP officers access this previously submitted information within USEC to pre-populate standard intake processing fields within the system. CBP is conducting this PIA update to analyze the privacy risks of expanding Unified Secondary to collect and store advance arrival information from certain undocumented individuals.

DHS/ALL/PIA-087 Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act Program (LEOSA)

The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 (LEOSA) exempts “qualified law enforcement officers” and “qualified retired law enforcement officers” from most state and local laws prohibiting the carriage of concealed firearms. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its law enforcement Components have established procedures with respect to qualified retiring, retired, separating, and separated law enforcement officers (LEO) and the application of the relevant provisions of LEOSA. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) documents how DHS collects, uses, and maintains personally identifiable information (PII) of LEOs who apply to carry concealed firearms pursuant to LEOSA.

DHS/USCIS/PIA-084 ATLAS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) developed ATLAS (not an acronym) to automate, streamline, and support accurate exchange of data among USCIS, DHS, and non-DHS systems used to support biometric and biographic-based screening and vetting of immigration requests. ATLAS is used as both an automated check service platform and rule-based screening platform for USCIS. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) evaluates the privacy risks and mitigations associated with ATLAS.

DHS/CBP/PIA-065 CBP Web Emergency Operations Center (WebEOC)

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Web Emergency Operations Center (WebEOC) is CBP’s primary emergency notification, event tracking, and incident management system. CBP uses WebEOC for a variety of purposes across the CBP enterprise, including incident management, event tracking, workforce emergency notifications, facility and asset management during disasters, and incident simulations and exercise. Due to its customizable event tracking functionality, CBP also uses WebEOC as the intake point for CBP electronic medical records and individual health assessments of individuals in CBP custody. CBP is publishing this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to provide transparency regarding WebEOC and its many uses, including as the point of collection for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) of individuals in CBP custody, and to provide notice of the privacy risks and mitigations associated with the system. DHS/USSS/PIA-030 Comprehensive Financial Investigative System

The United States Secret Service (USSS) Investigative Support Division (ISD) uses the Comprehensive Financial Investigative System (CFIS) in support of data capture to maintain records for financial investigations from case initiation to completion. USSS is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) because CFIS collects and maintains personally identifiable information (PII) regarding subjects of criminal financial investigations.

DHS/ALL/PIA-079 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration-Related Information Sharing with U.S. Census Bureau

Pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 13880 Collecting Information About Citizenship Status in Connection with the Decennial Census, issued July 11, 2019, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is providing the Department of Commerce (DOC), U.S. Census Bureau (Census or Census Bureau) with administrative records to assist in determining the number of citizens, lawfully present non-citizens, and unauthorized immigrants in the United States during the decennial census (2020 Census). DHS will share various data elements that the Census Bureau has articulated a need to know for the purpose of executing the E.O., including personally identifiable information (PII), with Census to (1) update 2020 Census person files, (2) produce Citizen Voting Age Population Statistics, and (3) conduct testing of citizenship models. DHS is publishing this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to describe the establishment of a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between DHS and the Census Bureau and to analyze the collection, use, and dissemination of DHS information by Census.
