DHS/ALL/PIA-086 DHS Counterintelligence Program

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Counterintelligence (CI) Program is a Department-wide effort designed to detect, deter, and disrupt foreign intelligence threats directed at the United States. CI encompasses those activities that identify, deceive, exploit, disrupt, or protect against espionage, other intelligence activities, sabotage, or assassinations conducted for or on behalf of foreign powers, organizations, or persons, or their agents (including transnational criminal organizations and drug trafficking organizations conducting intelligence-related activities), or international terrorist organizations or activities, collectively hereinafter referred to as foreign intelligence entities (FIE).

DHS/ALL/PIA-088 Preventing Infectious Disease at DHS Facilities During Declared Public Health Emergencies

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued discretionary guidance to its Components designed to prevent the spread of infectious disease or illness among its workforce in the event of a declared public health emergency. These processes include workforce accountability tracking, basic health screening of individuals attempting to enter to DHS facilities, laboratory testing of personnel and visitors scheduled to occupy or visit certain DHS facilities, and contact tracing to identify members of the DHS workforce or visitors who might have been exposed while at a DHS worksite. DHS is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) because some of these processes involve the collection and use of personally identifiable information (PII).

DHS/ICE/PIA-057 Angel Watch Program

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operates the ICE Angel Watch Program (AWP). The AWP mission is to proactively identify individuals who have been convicted of sexual crimes against children and have upcoming travel to a foreign country, in order to notify law enforcement and/or border security in the destination country.

DHS/ICE/PIA-055 Repository for Analytics in a Virtualized Environment (RAVEn)

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Innovation Lab is developing an analytical platform called the Repository for Analytics in a Virtualized Environment (RAVEn). RAVEn will facilitate large, complex analytical projects to support ICE’s mission to enforce and investigate violations of U.S. criminal, civil, and administrative laws. RAVEn also enables users to develop new tools to analyze trends and isolate criminal patterns as HSI mission needs arise. ICE is publishing this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and its associated appendices because the analytical tools that reside on RAVEn access and store personally identifiable information (PII) retrieved from data systems owned by DHS, other governmental agencies, and commercial databases. ICE will regularly update the appendices to this PIA to reflect any new system connection or tool developed on the RAVEn platform.

DHS/S&T/PIA-040 Data Analytics Technology Center (DA-TC)

S&T is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with DA-TC collecting, maintaining, and sharing personally identifiable information (PII) during research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) of advanced analytic and computational capabilities. This PIA also assesses the privacy risks associated with the two distinct computing environments: a physical on-premise environment and off-premise cloud environments.

DHS/CISA/PIA-035 National Cybersecurity Protection System (NCPS) - Core Infrastructure

This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) provides an in-depth analysis of the collection of information through the operation of the NCPS Core Infrastructure. CISA is in the process of developing separate PIAs to document the privacy implications for each of the NCPS’s capability areas (Intrusion Prevention, Intrusion Detection, Analytics, Core Infrastructure, and Information Sharing). Once published, these PIAs will eventually replace the currently published DHS/CISA/PIA-026 National Cybersecurity Protection System (NCPS).

CBP Portal (E3) to ENFORCE/IDENT

CBP is updating this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to notify the public of enhancements to e3 impacting personally identifiable information (PII), including: the new Border Enforcement Secondary Tool (BEST) for conducting secondary inspections at United States Border Patrol (USBP) Checkpoints; Subject Identification Tracking Devices (SID) to help track and log custodial actions of aliens in USBP custody; information technology modernization of the e3 system, known as “e3 NextGen;” and various new forms to ensure the safety and welfare of those in CBP custody.

DHS/CWMD/PIA-001 Medical and Public Health Information Sharing Environment (MPHISE)

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMD) maintains the Medical and Public Health Information Sharing Environment (MPHISE) system. MPHISE is designed to provide a secure networking capability between DHS personnel and designated federal, state, local, territorial, tribal, and private sector medical and public health partners. This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) supports MPHISE to be used as a platform to enable information sharing across the extended medical and public health community in response to any chemical, biological, radiologic, and/or nuclear threat. Standard sharing includes anonymized health information, but in some cases, to be defined below, non-anonymized health data and sensitive personally identifiable information (SPII) will be shared.
