DHS Workforce Reflects on Sept. 11: Dr. Laura Parker
Dr. Laura Parker was working in a Department of Defense laboratory on Sept. 11, 2001, researching explosives. She brought her expertise to develop ways for the Department of Homeland Security to better detect explosives. Today she is working with other DHS Scientists and partners to find ways to detect illicit substances, like Fentanyl, and stop it from crossing our borders. (DHS Video by Raymond J. Piper/Released)
