The Department of Homeland Security, along with other government agencies, wide array of free training programs to government and private sector partners to facilitate the Nuclear Reactors, Materials, and Waste Sector training mission.

Federal Emergency Management Agency

Provides a range of courses pertaining to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive incident response and management. Information on many of these – including eighteen courses focused specifically on radiological incident planning, preparedness, and response – is accessible through the FEMA Online Course Catalogue.

Global Threat Reduction Initiative Alarm Response Training

Voluntary training for radiological events for the security forces, health and safety personnel, and supporting local law enforcement to develop, discuss, and exercise their own tactics, techniques, procedures, and protocols when responding to a theft and/or sabotage event involving radioactive materials of significance.

Counterterrorism Operations Support (CTOS) - Courses

Online courses for radiological/nuclear responders from the CTOS – Center for Radiological/Nuclear Training.

Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)
