Secretary's 2016 Award for Excellence Presented To The Umpqua College Active Shooter Response Team

Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson and Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas presented the Secretary's Unit Award to the National Protection and Programs Directorate Umpqua College Active Shooter Response Team Michael Foster, Dustin Smith, Glen Patrick, William Turner, and Douglas Rommes.

The Secretary's Award for Excellence recognizes outstanding individual achievement or innovation by an employee engaged in work to advance the mission of the Department of Homeland Security. This work may have resulted in superior performance, significant operational improvements or notable innovation in support of Department of Homeland Security missions.
