As part of the U.S. government’s efforts to reunite families that were unjustly separated at the U.S.-Mexico border, the following are one-page flyers describing the Help Desk that the non-profit organization Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) has established. Families that believe they may be eligible can contact the Help Desk with questions about reunification and for assistance with registration. Help Desk information and assistance is free.
- Ask for help by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Ask for help by phone: available Monday – Friday from 10 AM – 7 PM CST/Guatemala/El Salvador/Honduras time. Specific phone numbers by country are on the flyers at the links below.
The Help Desk was made possible through funding from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration to UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, and to its implementing partner KIND, and in coordination with the Interagency Family Reunification Task Force.
