  • DHS Anti-Harassment Policy

    Harassment is prohibited at DHS, and the Department is committed to providing a work environment free from discrimination and harassment.  Harassment includes any unwelcome conduct on the basis of an individual’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender expression, and gender identity), national origin, age, disability (including an individual’s need for workplace reasonable accommodations), protected genetic information, marital status, parental status, political affiliation, or prior protected Equal Employment Opportunity activity, which interferes with an individual’s work performance or creates an intimidating, offensive, or hostile environment.

  • S&T DHS Biosafety Directive

    This Directive and the accompanying Instruction establish the authorities,responsibilities, requirements, and procedures for Biosafety in all activities conducted or sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (OHS). This Directive adopts the principles of the current edition of the U.S. Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institutes of Health Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories and its recommendations for standards, practices, equipment, and facilities for biological laboratory activities, as well as the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules (NIH Guidelines) and other related guidance listed in Part Ill.
