Omicron Variant Supplemental Reference and Fact Sheet

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) developed the following factsheet and Supplemental Reference (SR) to quickly summarize key information on the newly-emerged Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which has since spread to at least 19 countries and territories since November 2021. The Omicron variant factsheet and SR are intended to inform government decision-makers in the operational response to COVID-19 and the public of key differences observed in this variant and continued best practices. For a comprehensive guide to the current state of available information for all variants, readers are referred to the COVID-19 Master Question List.
