S&T Impact: Mobilizing Innovation to Secure the Nation

This web and video series delves into the core homeland security mission areas and highlights how the Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) is helping agents, officers, first responders and decision makers with some of their toughest challenges.

In keeping with our commitment to improving operator safety and effectiveness, this series demonstrates the use of S&T’s solutions through the perspective of the men and women who serve on the front line of homeland security. The Directorate helps them prevent, detect and investigate threats at our nation’s borders and air, land and sea ports. And it empowers them to prepare for, respond to and recover from natural and manmade events.

As the research and development arm for the Department, S&T has the unique privilege of working with operators from all areas of homeland security, industry leaders and small businesses, and academia and laboratories. They all share in the Directorate’s passion for mobilizing innovation to secure the nation.

S&T is always looking for new partners to meet our mission. If you’re interested in helping strengthen the nation’s homeland security, visit our Business Opportunities page to discover the many ways to work with S&T.
