Today, at Department of Homeland Security (DHS) headquarters in Washington, D.C., Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin K. McAleenan, El Salvador Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill, and Acting Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Ken Cuccinelli announced the two countries have signed a number of documents to implement greater collaboration on information sharing, border and aviation security, and international diplomacy, and announced additional time for El Salvadorans with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to repatriate.

Today, the United States and the Republic of Korea entered into a bilateral partnership for deeper cooperation on science and technology research and development of solutions to disasters such as fire, storm, flood and earthquake and issues closely related to public safety such as security and infectious disease.

At a press conference in San Salvador today following a Central American Regional Ministerial meeting, Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin K. McAleenan announced the Trump Administration’s resumption of foreign aid to El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.
