Blue Campaign Special Initiatives Support: Ukrainian Refugees

Following Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is providing support and humanitarian relief to Ukrainian nationals in need both in the United States and abroad. To protect Ukrainians residing in the U.S., the Secretary of Homeland Security designated Ukraine for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months.

Blue Campaign provided support to DHS and government coordinated efforts by developing human trafficking awareness materials in Ukrainian. These materials are being used to communicate with refugees so they understand where they can get support if they feel they are being forced to work or engage it commercial sex acts against their will. Frontline workers are also using these materials to recognize and report suspected human trafficking among refugees.
