The DHS Chief Data Officer Council is a senior-leadership governance body that will mature Enterprise Data Management across the Department.
Purpose
The purpose of the Council is to strengthen the management and oversight of enterprise data to:
- Support DHS Components’ effective and efficient mission delivery;
- Advance integrated analytic capabilities;
- Reduce duplicate data; and,
- Facilitate data-informed decision making

- The DHS Deputy CDO, who serves as the Council's Chair
- The DHS Evaluation Officer, who serves as a Co-Chair
- The DHS Statistical Official, who serves as a Co-Chair
- The Component CDO or Representative from operational and support DHS Components
- The Mission Data Domain Lead or Representative designated by the domain lead
