Immigration Information and Assistance

On November 20, 2014, in accordance with the President’s announcement, Secretary Johnson published multiple policy memoranda to implement executive immigration reforms. Customs and Border Protection (CBP); Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will be responsible for implementing many of these actions beginning in 2015. On January 5, 2015, DHS will implement a new department-wide enforcement and removal policy. In February 2015, USCIS will begin accepting applications for an expanded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) and in May 2015, extend deferred action eligibility to certain individuals, on a case-by-case basis, who have children who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents through the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program. In anticipation of public questions and feedback, DHS has centralized its existing inquiry mechanisms for the above mentioned agency components.

If you have questions about the new DHS enforcement priorities, the expanded deferred action programs or believe you are eligible for one of the new initiatives, please use one of the following public feedback mechanisms to have your questions answered or concerns registered with DHS.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection

U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman

DHS Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties
