Working with the Private Sector to Advance Homeland Security Solutions

The DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) relies on our private sector partners to identify and develop innovative technologies for homeland security. We are also working to transition federal research and development (R&D) technology products to the commercial market for use by homeland security operators. S&T has a number of tools for working with many different kinds of private sector entities. The “Innovation Programs & Tools” booklet outlines the process, eligibility, timeline, and how to apply for each of our tools. We also identify the stage(s) of technology development we seek for each tool.
