Body

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) developed the following factsheet and Supplemental References (SRs) to quickly summarize key information on the SARS-CoV-19 Omicron variant, and subvariants. The Omicron variant factsheet and SR are intended to inform government decision-makers in the operational response to COVID-19 and the public of key differences observed in this variant and continued best practices. The most recently emerged Omicron subvariants, Eris and Fornax, are detailed in the Eris and Fornax Supplemental Reference. For a comprehensive guide to the current state of available information for all variants, readers are referred to the COVID-19 Master Question List.
