CHCO Blog - Families and the Circle of Life

Release Date: February 24, 2021

Families create the circle of life. And it is also true we are not only a product of those who gave birth to and nurtured us, but also all of those whom we regard as family…including our colleagues. Sometimes within our families there are issues, problems, and challenges, but most often there is joy and celebration. When we welcome all these experiences as a part of life’s rich tapestry, we begin to realize that we do not need to endure alone—we can share in the happiness and be there for one another in times of heartbreak. In some ways, we’re a group of souls who have come together to learn and grow from one another. There is almost no human experience that cannot be found within our circle and honoring a path that embraces walking it together is what will help us elevate each other in ways that we could not do alone.

As Jane Howard once said, “Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.” Do something today that will honor the lives of those who came before, cherish the lives who are with you today, and inspire the lives of those who will come after you!
