CHCO Blog - Create a Starring Role for Yourself

Release Date: April 21, 2021

What if we actually believed that we get to write and direct our own movie? That we also have a leading, starring role in our movie. That those we interact with and have brought into our lives are here as supporting cast members, to challenge us, to engage us, to humor us, to help us become a better version of ourselves.

When we step into the role of creating our lives rather than sitting on the couch watching our life (as if the movie was written by someone else), we find that the circumstances, both good and bad, are what make the movie so fascinating and interesting. Every plot twist and turn is what gives us a very rich life, full of unexpected joys and celebrations of triumph in the face of adversity. We cheer the heroes in a movie, we celebrate the love that is found at the end of a movie, and we cry through the trials and tribulations woven throughout a movie.

The question then is, why not do the same for our own movie? Get up off the couch, put down the popcorn, and begin writing and directing an epic adventure…I know it’s in you!
