During this COVID-19 pandemic, our ability to manage stress has been repeatedly tested. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) understands that stress management is a skill that can be learned and has developed mobile apps designed to help build these skills as we continue to navigate work and life during the pandemic.
Although these stress management tools were designed with veterans in mind, they are applicable to anyone who wants to learn more about their stress triggers and/or to better manage their stress.
- COVID Coach App can be used as a stand-alone education and self-care tool, or as a supplement to professional mental health care. You can mark your favorite coping tools and track your mental health over time. Set reminders to visit the app each day and work toward your goals. The app can also help you create your own personal support network.
- Mindfulness Coach App provides a gradual, self-guided training program designed to help you understand and adopt a simple mindfulness practice. Mindfulness Coach also offers a library of information about mindfulness, 12 audio-guided mindfulness exercises, and a growing catalog of additional exercises available for free download.
- Couples Coach App is designed for partners who want to improve their relationship and explore new ways to connect. The app takes users through five levels of expert-written education and engaging behavioral exercises informed by science.
